MADRID (Reuters) - A Spanish Muslim group is staging what it says is the first international congress on Islamic feminism this month, which will call for a reinterpretation of Islam's sacred texts, the organisers said on Wednesday.
"Some of the leading speakers will offer alternative readings based on equal rights," Abdennur (formerly Ignacio) Prado of the Catalan Islamic Board told a news conference.
