GUANGZHOU, China (Reuters) - Hong Kong lawmakers, including pro-democracy activists, said on Monday they hoped their two-day trip to mainland China, the first in years, would open the door to more visits and better dialogue with Beijing.

As a goodwill gesture, Beijing invited Hong Kong's entire 60-member Legislative Council to the southern province of Guangdong. Among them were 11 die-hard democracy supporters who had been barred entry for 16 years after criticising the government for the Tiananmen Square crackdown.
