KABUL (Reuters) - Hundreds of donkeys, horses and even camels will take up the strain from cargo planes and trucks to deliver voting materials to the furthest parts of Afghanistan for next Sunday's elections, some of the most complex ever held.

U.N. organisers say that despite serious security risks, war-shattered infrastructure, flash floods, sandstorms and mountainous terrain, preparations for the $159 million national assembly and provincial council polls are fully on track.
