MANILA (Reuters) - Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo hit back at her enemies on Thursday, saying they offered a "road that leads to nowhere" as the opposition prepared to take its campaign to unseat her to Congress.
A day after 30,000 protesters marched and chanted in Manila calling for her resignation over allegations of vote-rigging in last year's election and corruption in her family, Arroyo said she had no intention of quitting.
