SOFIA (Reuters) - Bulgaria's Socialists claimed victory over the ruling centrists in Saturday elections but partial results showed they will struggle to form a government and steer the Balkan country into the European Union in 2007.

Any protracted power wrangling between parties could delay key reforms needed to secure EU entry for the poor Black Sea state of 8 million people and may unsettle investors betting on its euro zone covergence.
