A VIDEO showing a terrifying robbery has been circulating on social media, depicting a woman being surrounded and attacked by a group of individuals in an alley.
The footage, which appears to have been captured by CCTV, shows the victim being confronted by several people who arrived in a red car near Jalan Plumbum, Section 7.
But did this brazen early morning robbery really happen in Shah Alam?

A woman experienced a harrowing ordeal when she was robbed by several individuals armed with knives in an incident in an alley near Jalan Plumbum, Section 7, Shah Alam, on Monday (Feb 16).
In the incident at around 5.30am, the victim, an Indonesian national, was walking alone to dispose of rubbish near her residence when she was approached by a group of individuals in a red Perodua Axia.
However, the actions of all the suspects led to their downfall when they were arrested by authorities on the same day.
Shah Alam OCPD Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol said his team received information regarding the incident at 2.19pm.
"Preliminary investigations found that the victim's handbag was snatched by a group of unidentified men armed with knives," he said in a statement on Thursday.
"The victim, who was walking alone to dispose of rubbish, was approached by suspects in a red Perodua Axia before her handbag was snatched," he said.
Acting on information and intelligence, a team of officers and personnel from the Criminal Investigation Division of Shah Alam District Police Headquarters carried out a follow-up operation on the same day.
"At around 9pm, we successfully detained five men and one woman, all locals, believed to be involved in the incident," he said.
"A vehicle believed to have been used during the incident was also seized to assist in further investigations," he added.
