QuickCheck: Did a snatch theft occur in front of a Setia Alam supermarket?

ONE tactic of petty criminals and confidence tricksters is to approach motorists and claim that their vehicle has been damaged or hit them while reversing.

Unsuspecting motorists who step out of their vehicles then expose themselves to potential crimes, such as mugging, carjacking, or scams.

Recently, a viral video on Facebook shows a man and his wife checking the front of their car. A motorcyclist then passes by and snatches the man's RM11,000 chain before fleeing.

It is said that this incident occurred in front of a supermarket in Setia Alam in Shah Alam, Selangor.
