A recent video of a fight in Kota Belud, Sabah has brought attention to a group of teenagers as it has gone viral online.
It has been claimed that jealousy over a girl led to the fight. Is this true?

Kota Belud OCPD Supt Shahrudin Mat Husain confirmed this, saying that a report on the incident had been received at 1am on Monday (April 8).
He then said that eight male teenagers aged between 14 and 18 were detained by the police to assist in the investigation into the fight that broke out near the roundabout at Tamu Kota Belud, adding that all were picked up at about 2pm on Monday.
"Further investigations showed that the fight stemmed from jealousy over a girlfriend," he said when contacted by Sinar Harian on Tuesday (April 8).
He added that all of them were detained under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting and disturbing public peace.
"So far, seven students and one other youth remain in custody at the Kota Belud District Police Headquarters (IPD) to assist in the investigation," he said.
Shahrudin also advised the public not to speculate or disseminate videos related to the incident.
"This could disrupt the police investigation. Any witnesses with information about the fight are urged to come forward to the Kota Belud IPD or contact the case officer, Inspector Railey Samiar, at 016-8143490 to assist in the investigation," he said.
