VERDICT:

TRUE

Police confirmed receiving a report about an incident where three individuals released pythons into a drain along Jalan Persiaran Putra Permai, Putra Heights.

According to Sinar Harian, Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the report was filed by a local man at the Putra Heights police station around 10.15am on Feb 3.

ACP Wan Azlan said the report was made after the complainant saw a viral video of the act, causing him to fear for his family's safety.

The video in question showed three men dumping the snakes out of several bags and into the drain.

"Investigations conducted by the Putra Heights police confirmed that the incident occurred in mid-January," ACP Wan Azlan added.

The case has since been referred to the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) for further action.
