A SHOCKING incident in Dengkil has residents on edge, as a flasher was reportedly caught in the act on video.

The unsettling footage, which shows a man exposing himself to a woman, quickly went viral, sparking outrage and concern.

Has the suspect behind this disturbing act been apprehended?

A building maintenance employee was arrested for flashing himself at a woman in Savanna Southville City in Dengkil, Selangor, on Tuesday (Jan 14).

Sepang district deputy police chief Supt Shan Gopal Krishnan stated that the 32-year-old man was arrested in the Labohan Dagang area of Sepang at about 12.15am on Tuesday.

The woman lodged a police report at the Sepang district police headquarters, claiming she was called over by an unknown man in a red Proton Iriz who then exposed himself when she approached the car.

Preliminary checks indicated that the man had no prior criminal records.

The suspect has been remanded for three days from today, and the case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code.

A 46-second video showing the woman confronting and questioning the man about his actions while in his car had gone viral earlier.
