SKELETAL remains found by members of the public are not something new in Malaysia. Over the years, skeletal remains of humans have been found in many parts of the country.

Recently, a man lodged a police report regarding the discovery of what is believed to be incomplete human remains in a bushy area near Batu 7, Jalan Miri-Bintulu.

Is this true?

In a statement, Miri OCPD Asst Comm Alexson Naga Chabu confirms receiving a police report from the complainant on the discovery of the unidentified skeletal remains.

Police investigations revealed several skeletal remains found clustered together, believed to belong to a human.

“Upon visiting the scene, no identification documents were found, and the identity of the victim has yet to be determined. Investigations so far indicate no criminal elements involved,” added the statement.

The cops have urged those who have missing family members, relatives, or friends to come forward to the nearest police station or contact 085-433 730 to provide related information.
