WITH Halloween just a few weeks away, tales with a tinge of the spooky would go viral quickly - and vehicles travelling without anyone on them could very well tick all the boxes here.
Recently, a video went viral of a riderless motorcycle along with the claim that it was taken along the Federal Highway near Shah Alam in Selangor.
Is this true?
VERDICT:

TRUE
Yes, this incident actually happened and it was confirmed by Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja'afar.
In a statement reported by Sinar Harian, he said that the initial investigation found that what was seen was in fact the result of an accident involving two motorcyclists along the Federal Highway.
"The accident caused the rider to fall before the motorcycle moved into the main lane. The incident was recorded by a dashboard camera of a car passing through the lane," said ACP Shahrulnizam on Thursday (Oct 10).
He said this happened in a lane heading towards Shah Alam, and added that police personnel detected this when it went viral on X.
ACP Shahrulnizam then added that the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division (BSPT) of the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters has had identified the motorcyclist involved and said that they should come forward to make a report.
He said that any witnesses can contact the case's investigating officer Inspector Mohd Hafeez Faesal A Aziz at 011-32311232 or go to the nearest police station.
"The police remind all road users to comply with laws to prevent any accidents," said ACP Shahrulnizam.
