THERE are always cases of people running away swiftly in their cars after a theft, with reckless driving which causes accidents.

Did a man in order to refuse to pay service charges speed off in a car after leaving two workers injured in a scuffle?

The Northern Johor Bahru district police have received a viral video of a customer running off without paying service charges on his car while leaving two workers injured.

A police report was lodged on Sept 10 by a 29-year-old man.

"Investigations showed that a 40-year-old man had gone to a workshop near Taman Setia Tropika in Johor Baru on Sept 7 to repair his car at a cost of RM38,000," said the Johor Bahru northern district OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh Mahinder Singh in a statement.

"After the repairs, the suspect ran off with the car while injuring two workers who tried to stop him.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder and Section 324 for causing voluntary injuries with a dangerous weapon.
