QuickCheck: Can you make a special EPF withdrawal of up to RM10,000?

Money makes the world go round. That's why the newly set up Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Account 3 was the talk of the town. But just because there's a new account, doesn't mean there's enough cash in there to be found.

There's a viral post about a special EPF withdrawal of up to RM10,000 going around. Is the message true or designed to confound?

VERDICT:

FALSE

Whatever the rhyme or reason behind this viral post, there's no truth to it, says the EPF.

"Always be cautious of any information you come across.

"Get verified information from the official EPF website and social media platforms," it said on Facebook.
