When one thinks of motorbike stunts, our minds are inclined towards imagining a bunch of boys performing wheelies or the "Superman" stunt and other dangerous acts.
Rare is the occasion where the fairer sex might enjoy showing off their “skills” on a motorcycle.
However, it was recently reported that three women were detained for performing stunts on motorcycles along the North-South highway. Did such an incident really happen?

It was reported that a group of motorcyclists comprising three young women were caught doing just that on the North-South highway.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Comm Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri said they were alerted to a video clip that was uploaded on X (formerly Twitter) by a user named @ibuperi_ on March 10 at 5.34pm.
"The video showed a group of riders performing stunts where they lie down on their bikes with their legs stretched out to mimic flying like Superman.
"The video was taken along the North-South highway. Based on information we were provided, on March 13 we then identified the three women involved around Melaka and arrested them.
"The motorcycles used were then seized.
"Upon further investigation it was discovered that the women were part of a motorcycle group called ‘Awek Melaka’ where all the members live around Melaka," he said in a statement on March 14.
Comm Mohd Azman said the incident took place while the group was on the way back in a convoy after leaving a restaurant in Serdang, Selangor.
"They claimed to have started performing stunts on the highway after being influenced by each other," he said.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
Earlier on March 10, multiple short videos went viral showing the women performing the stunts in broad daylight along the highway as they weaved between cars and lorries.
