Recently, bones were found in an abandoned house in Batu Pahat.

The police confirmed that they had found human leg bones in an abandoned house on Jalan Besar Tongkang Pechah.

Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah said they were notified of the discovery at 11.30am on Feb 28.

“Following that, a forensics team from Johor police headquarters was deployed. Two of the bones found are believed to be femurs, two are fibulas, and two are tibias.

“The bones have been sent to the Chemistry Department for a DNA analysis,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (March 6).

ACP Ismail said the analysis would take about a month.

“We would like to remind the public not to speculate about the discovery,” he said.

He added that anyone with information on the matter should contact the police at 07-4363300.
