Recently, word of an unusual series of events saw high interest online – it was claimed that a man tried to burn down the apartment he stayed in after a housemate tied him down for being under the influence of drugs.
Is there any truth to this claim?

Serdang police chief ACP A. Anbalagan confirmed that the incident occurred, saying that it took place at Pangsapuri Kinrara in Taman Kinrara.
"An investigation showed that the 34-year-old male suspect managed to free himself after he had been tied down by a housemate. He then tried to burn the apartment up out of anger," he said.
ACP Anbalagan added that the suspect is believed to have been under the influence of syabu at the time.
He said that the investigation found that aside from the suspect, two men, two women and a child lived at the apartment.
"No one was injured during the incident," added ACP Anbalagan, who said that the case is being investigated under Section 435 and 307 of the Penal Code.
