SEVERAL videos have gone viral showing a group of men attacking the driver of a pickup truck with parangs and axes after they blocked his car at the drop off point of a condominium. The event allegedly happened recently at a location in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

An investigation by the Iskandar Puteri district police department found that the series of videos were shot in front of condominium's lobby at Puteri Harbor in Iskandar Puteri, said the department's OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin in a statement on its Facebook page.
In the videos that went viral, a black pick-up truck can be seen being blocked off by two cars in front of the condominum's lobby.
The robbers can be seen trying to get into the victims pick-up but the victim attempts to escape several times by ramming his vehicle into the cars blocking him.
The robbers then can be seen hacking at the victim with their parang through the pick-up's open window.
"Based on the information we received and our investigation we successfully apprehended two men we believed to be involved in the robbery," said ACP Rahmat.
Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin said that the two suspects confessed to being involved in the incident by first ramming the victim's car.
"The suspects also injured the victim by using a machete.
"As a result of the arrest, we have managed to confiscate items that can help the investigation," he said in a statement on Wednesday (March 15).
He explained that the suspect was remanded until Saturday (March 18) and the case was investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.
ACP Rahmat said they were still being made to track down the suspect's accomplice.
