A jewellery sale scam syndicate has allegedly been preying on unsuspecting people on social media;the group allegedly advertises jewellery for sale for cheap to lure victims.
The victims who bank in cash into accounts then never get the promised jewellery. Does such a syndicate exist?

According to police, the syndicate had been targeting victims on Telegram and Instagram and has since been busted in a series of raids in the Klang Valley.
Four men and two women were nabbed during the raids in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
Police said that the group had been active since mid-2022 and has been involved in at six cases with losses of RM17,100.
Police urged the public to be wary of conducting transactions via social media.
