Counterfeit cash scare! But it was merely props for a movie

PETALING JAYA: The stacks of counterfeit bank notes allegedly shipped in from China and seized by police were actually props for a popular local film.

Social media was abuzz on Friday (Nov 3) with viral photos of a shipping container filled to the brim with RM50 and RM100 counterfeit bank notes, with some saying that the money had been brought in from China and others claiming that it was to be used for the next general election.
