HONG KONG: China's plans to impose a new security law on Hong Kong will "only target a handful of lawbreakers", the city's leader said on Tuesday (May 26), as she tried to reassure international businesses and investors rattled by the proposal.
Beijing wants to enact legislation banning "seccession, subversion, terrorism and foreign interference" in the international finance hub after months of massive, often-violent pro-democracy protests last year.
