TOKYO (Xinhua): An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude struck off Japan's Fukushima Prefecture on Tuesday (May 19), the weather agency here said.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the temblor, which occurred at 12.17pm local time, was centered offshore, with its epicentre at a latitude of 37.5 degrees north and a longitude of 141.5 degrees east, and at depth of 50km.
