Thailand's ATTA appealing for big help from government as Bangkok clamps up

BANGKOK: The Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA) has called on the government to provide financial support for the tourist industry which has been hard hit by the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

ATTA President Vichit Prakobkosolsaid said on Sunday May 3) that he recently discussed with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O Cha about the current epidemic situation, which has considerably affected tourism and travel firms, and asked for help from the government.
