Covid-19: Special bill to ensure safe Singapore general election

SINGAPORE (Bernama): A Bill expected to be tabled next week would allow Elections Department Singapore (ELD) to implement temporary arrangements to ensure a safe general election (GE) should it be held amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

"The health and safety of voters, candidates and election officials is paramount to us, ” said ELD in a statement in response to media queries on the "Parliamentary Elections (Covid-19 Special Arrangements) Bill" on Friday (April 3).
