HONG KONG: Air pollution has fallen in cities across the planet, satellite imaging analysed by the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) shows, as Covid-19 (coronavirus) travel restrictions ground planes and keep cars off the streets.
Major cities such as Madrid, Paris, Johannesburg, Jeddah and Shanghai all saw lower atmospheric concentrations of health-harming nitrous dioxide (NO2) between March 5-25, as compared to the same period in 2019, according to EPHA on Monday (March 30).
