FROM April 1, the Singapore courts will allow no more than two lawyers or litigants per party to appear at a hearing, as part of the raft of measures introduced in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon, in a message to court users and practitioners, said the judiciary will over the next few weeks allow more matters to be heard via tele- and video conferencing, as well as written submissions and email.
