Vietnamese police seize 50 cakes of heroin, 35kg synthetic drugs


HO CHI MINH CITY: Police of Vietnam's southern Ho Chi Minh City have busted a drug trafficking ring, seizing 50 cakes of heroin and more than 35kg of synthetic drugs, arresting eight in the ring, Vietnam News Agency cited the city's police as reporting on Saturday (March 21).

The city's police department cracked down on a drug trafficking ring led by a 23-year-old man in Tan Binh district. The police force caught two red-handed with two cakes of heroin on Feb 25, from which they arrested the ringleader with another 5 kg of heroin, the news agency reported.
