Vietnamese get Women's Day gifts online amid Covid-19 fears

Stores in Ho Chi Minh City are seeing fewer shoppers looking for International Women's Day gifts as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. - VN

HO CHI MINH CITY (Vietnam News/ANN): Stores have introduced a wide range of products for International Women’s Day on March 8 and are offering promotions but fears over Covid-19 have driven shoppers to get their gifts online.

Nguyễn Thanh Diệu, owner of a clothes store on Lê Văn Sỹ Street, said, “Due to virus fears, customers have restricted shopping at stores, and so we have promoted our products via phones and social network since last month during Valentine’s Day, with payments being made via bank accounts or on delivery.”
