LONDON: Crude Oil prices dropped below US$60 for the first time in nearly three months on Monday (Jan 27), as the death toll from China's coronavirus rose and more businesses were forced to shut down, fuelling expectations of slowing oil demand.
Brent crude was down US$1.40 a barrel at US$59.29 at 1406 GMT, its lowest since late October and the biggest intra-day fall since Jan. 8.
