JAKARTA: Indonesian President Joko Widodo has underscored the importance of expanding the export market for products made by the country's state defence industries, according the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat.

"This is also what I have seen in PT PAL, PT Pindad and PT DI. This is also a leap that we need a bigger market," said the president when chairing a meeting on development of defence equipment system at PT PAL's submarine production facility hangar in East Java provincial capital of Surabaya on Monday.
