JAKARTA: A recent graft case involving a top official of the General Elections Commission (KPU) has raised concerns over the upcoming simultaneous regional elections scheduled for September 2020.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named on Thursday KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan as a bribery suspect, accusing him of demanding 900 million rupiah (RM266,700) from Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) politician Harun Masiku as the latter was seeking a seat in the House of Representatives.
