Hanoi cheapest city in Asia for backpackers

BANGKOK: Hanoi and Vientiane are the cheapest cities in Asia for backpackers to visit in 2020 while Bangkok offers the cheapest meals, a study by UK-based Alpha Travel Insurance revealed.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, tops the list of 31 places listed on the firm’s guide, “Backpacker Index – the Cheapest Cities to Visit in Asia”.
