TAIPEI: Taiwan's Far Eastern Air Transport (FAT) airline has announced that it was ceasing all international and domestic flights from Friday (DEc 13) after falling a million US dollars short in loan repayments to banks.
The 62-year-old airline announced its closure in an "important notice” on its website that stated that the airline was ceasing all operations due to "an extended period of operational losses and difficulties in raising capital". It apologised for "any inconvenience caused to travellers."
