Dominant Philippines surpasses 2017 SEA Games gold haul

MANILA (Dec 31, ANN): Hitting 25 golds in just the second day of the 30th South-East Asian (SEA) Games, the Philippines has surpassed its gold medal output from the 2017 edition of the regional sports meet.

Golds from Monica Torres (duathlon), Lea Denise Belgira (women’s downhill mountainbike) and John Derick Farr (men’s downhill mountainbike) on Monday (Dec 2) assured the country a better finish than the 2017 Games, where it only got 24 golds overall.
