Bangkok: Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi will this month personally defend her country at the United Nations’ top court against Gambia’s allegation that it committed genocide against the Rohingya.

The State Counsellor, who is also Foreign Minister, caused a stir when it was announced recently that she would lead Myanmar’s legal team before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
