HONG KONG (China Daily/ANN): Different sectors in Hong Kong on Monday slammed the violence unleashed by anti-government mobs, calling for the courts to hand down harsher sentences for lawbreakers who seriously jeopardize public safety and law and order.
Local parents, educators and legal experts made the appeal as Hong Kong remained paralysed by social unrest characterized by violence, arson and vandalism.
