Manila: An Indonesian fisherman held hostage for four months by militants in the Philippines has drowned, a military spokesman said, while two other captured men have been rescued.
The men had been held on a remote island in a standoff for nearly six weeks after Filippino troops blockaded the island in a bid to close in on the kidnappers.
