Krabi public works chief gunned down

Krabi: A business conflict or jealousy are the suspected motives in the killing of the chief public works engineer with the Krabi provincial administrative organisation.

Montree Upala, 57, was driving his pickup truck on Thungyai-Lamthap Road in Ban Khuankhiam village in Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Thungyai district when a hail of gunfire struck the vehicle at about 9.40pm.

Montree’s body was found beside the truck with bullet wounds to the right torso and both arms. — The Nation/Asia News Network
