An elderly woman died after collapsing while riding an escalator inside a Sha Tin shopping centre on Monday.
The incident occurred at Sha Tin New Town Plaza’s Phase One at about 7am, on a narrow escalator connecting the lower ground floor to a bus terminus near Centre Street. The escalator was heading down at the time of the incident.
