JAKARTA: The International People’s Tribunal found Indonesia guilty of crimes against humanity in the systematic killing of between 400,000 and 600,000 people affiliated with the communist party in 1965 and recommended the incumbent government apologise to the victims and survivors.
A non-formal process staged by human rights activists at The Hague, the International People’s Tribunal, concluded on Wednesday that the systematic killing of people affiliated with the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) in 1965 constituted a crime against humanity.
