HANOI: The former chairman of Vietnam’s state-run oil giant, PetroVietnam, has been arrested as part of a deepening probe into the communist country’s fragile banking sector, police said.
Nguyen Xuan Son, 52, was taken into custody late Tuesday, the Ministry of Public Security said in a statement on its website.
