SINGAPORE: In a move marking the end of a political era, the man who co-founded the People’s Action Party 57 years ago has stepped down from its top decision-making body – its central executive committee.
The resignations of Lee Kuan Yew and five others – Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Lim Boon Heng, Wong Kan Seng, George Yeo and Lim Hwee Hua – were accepted on Wednesday by the CEC during a meeting, the party said in a statement.
