SEOUL: Korean consumers tend to cut down on clothing, entertainment, leisure and dining out first when they reduce spending, a survey released Wednesday found.
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s survey on consumption behaviour during the downturn found that 20.5% of the 523 households polled said their biggest reduction in spending would be on clothing. That was followed by leisure and entertainment with 17.2% and dining out with 16.5%.
