SINGAPORE police said yesterday that a huge police presence would bar any outdoor rallies, restrict traffic and conduct random searches of people and vehicles at next month's IMF-World Bank meetings.
Police director of operations Aubeck Kam said the measures were “complete, comprehensive and rigorous” in light of the increased concern for security and potential for terrorist threats during the high-profile gathering.
