THE British news magazine The Economist has apologised to Singapore's elder statesman Lee Kuan Yew for allegations contained in an obituary on the city-state's former president Devan Nair.
The weekly said it agreed to pay Lee Singapore's founding father and former prime minister who currently holds an influential Cabinet post as a senior adviser an unspecified amount in damages as well as other costs.
