THIS republic has very strong proposals from the four remaining bidders for the city's first casino licence, the tourism board said yesterday after an Australian-Hong Kong consortium pulled out of the process.
Australia's Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd (PBL) and Hong Kong's Melco International Development said they were withdrawing from the bidding for the resort at downtown Marina Bay because of rising costs.
