YANGON: Bomb explosions blamed on ethnic rebels ripped through two busy supermarkets and a convention centre almost simultaneously in the capital of military-ruled Myanmar yesterday, killing 11 people and wounding 162 others, state television reported.
The blasts occurred over a 10-minute period starting at mid afternoon at the exhibition centre here, then two City Mart supermarkets in the northern and north-western sections of the capital.
