PHNOM PENH: Cambodia welcomed yesterday a UN announcement that enough money was in hand to set up a long-awaited tribunal to try leaders of the former Khmer Rouge regime, 30 years after the start of the genocide.
UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's decision announced on Friday removed the last obstacle to creating thetribunal to try those most responsible for the deaths of two million people.
