PATTANI: Fear is stalking Thailand's restive Muslim south, crippling the economy and hampering government efforts to develop the relatively poor region, business leaders said yesterday.
Roads and bridges have become the latest targets in the year-long insurgency in the provinces of Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala, where more than 600 people have been killed since January last year.
