HO CHI MINH CITY: Vietnam ordered health authorities to launch a nationwide campaign to clean up poultry farms in a bid to control the spread of bird flu as the number of human cases continues to grow, state media reported yesterday.
The Ministry of Health issued instructions that all poultry farms in the country, from large-scale commercial operations to backyard farms, would be disinfected beginning April 1 in a bid to control the virus, which has become entrenched in the environment, the Laborer newspaper reported.
